Context:

This photoshoot sought to generate a universally inspiring image for sales channels, motivating woodworkers at every skill level to embrace creative possibilities.

Approach:

The studio shoot required crafting a believable woodworking scene. My approach involved a detailed setup with a workbench and a weathered window. To achieve a natural ambiance, I manipulated light by reflecting a flash off a silver board and directing it through the window, adding depth and visual interest.

Outcome:

The photoshoot successfully delivered a photograph with believable sunlight filtering through the window, highlighting the hands engaged in the craft of planing rough wood. This dramatic yet inspiring visual became the centrepiece of their website's homepage, email promotions, and in-store signage.
